How it works

We find the fares. A person checks them. You book.

No apps to keep refreshing and no price charts to study. Here is what happens between us finding a fare and it landing in your inbox.

India is the route we cover today. Other routes come next, opened in the order people ask for them, and they will work the same way. See destinations

  1. Step 1: Tell us where home is

Pick the airports you fly from and the cities you fly home to (India for now). Add the months you can travel if you like.

  2. Step 2: We search the fares

Our team searches fares on your routes home and compares them with what each route typically costs. Anything well below that gets a closer look.

  3. Step 3: A person checks it

Before anything is sent, someone on our team looks at the dates, stops and total price to make sure it is worth your time.

  4. Step 4: You book it yourself

We email you the deal with a link. You book directly with the airline or travel site. We never sell tickets or touch your booking.

What counts as a deal

Every route has a normal price range that moves with the seasons. Flights home to India around Diwali, Christmas and the summer holidays cost more than in, say, late February. When we find a fare, we compare it with what that route typically costs for similar dates, not with the most expensive fare we have ever seen.

A deal is a fare that sits well below that normal range. Small dips of a few percent do not make the cut.

Why a person checks each one

Right now our team does the searching by hand. We plan to add automated fare searching later, because software is good at spotting a low number. It is less good at noticing that the cheap fare has a 19-hour layover, a self-transfer between terminals, or only works on two Tuesdays in May.

So however a fare is found, before an alert goes out, someone on our team looks at the routing, the stops, the layover times, the baggage situation where we can see it, and how many dates the price is available on. If we would not book it for our own family, we do not send it.

What the email tells you

Each alert gives you the route, the price we saw, roughly what that route normally costs, the range of dates we found it on, the number of stops, and a link to book. Prices are per person in economy. Each alert says whether it's a round trip or one way.

Booking

You book with the airline or travel site directly. We never sell tickets, take payment for flights or see your booking. If something goes wrong with a flight, the airline or the site you booked with is the one to talk to.

Cheap fares often last only a few hours. If you see one you like, check your dates and book soon. Most airlines and many travel sites let you cancel within 24 hours, but check the rules before you rely on that.

Free and paid alerts

Paid members get every deal we approve for their airports, and they get it first. Free members get a smaller selection, sent later. You can try a paid plan free for 7 days.
